You won’t have to worry about purchasing batteries for the DSC H20. The camera comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Typically you will be able to take 290 pictures before the battery will need to be recharged. 290 shots are plenty enough to make it through anything from a birthday party to sporting events.

The camera stores your photos onto Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. Both the memory card and battery go inside the same compartment. They each also have a little locking mechanism to prevent them from falling out when the compartment is open.

Sony has moved the tripod mount away from the battery compartment so that you will be able to change the battery or memory card without having to remove it from the tripod. This is very useful when you are shooting a lot of photos and need to be able to switch it out the battery quickly so that you can continue taking photos. This is a small improvement to earlier models, but a very useful one.

When you open the box you will find the camera, battery, battery charger, multi-connector cable, lens cap, and the CD-ROM software. Accessories that you may want to purchase are a memory stick and a HDMI cable if you would like to hook it up to a high definition TV. Also, a tripod is a great accessory for when you are taking a lot of pictures. The DSC H20 is a fantastic camera that is easy to use and takes outstanding photos.
